2.      “Risky Business.” Achieving success requires taking risks. Brainstorm a short list of the risks involved in reaching your career goals (ex. Will I lose my boyfriend/girlfriend if I pursue this career?).  Then, using the questions on page 72 of the text, make a list of the pros and cons of each risk to evaluate it.
Will I lose sleep - Pro: I will get better grades, Con: I may not function that well during the day
Will I spend money on gas for internships - Pro: I will gain connections in the professional world that can help me later, Con: I will have to spend money on gas and be stressed in traffic
Will I spend money on books - Pro: I will have the material in order to pass classes, Con: I will have less money to spend on other things
3.      “Make Your Hammock and Lie in It.”  To emphasize the need to plan for retirement, describe 2 retirement stories (a good one and a sad one) that you personally know.   Now, how/what can you do now to achieve or avoid those situations?
One good retirement story is the one of my godfather and godmother. After retiring from being a nurse and being in the military my godfather and godmother both were able to renovate their house as well as travel the world. They saved their money while they were working as well as accumulated a lot of benefits in order to do what they wanted when they retired. One bad retirement story is the one of my teacher. My teacher spent a lot of his money while he was working so when he retired he didn't have anything to spend now he has to get another job in order to sustain his lifestyle. A way that I can achieve a good retirement is to save while I am working as well as look for retirement plans that will have long lasting benefits.
