Problem #1
The first problem which I was a part of in helping solve was in my fraternity Alpha Phi Omega. It was in the Spring of 2016. The problem which we had encountered was a miscommunication between us and the school about our trust walk ritual. We had them with their eyes closed in business attire walk to a designated location while it was raining. We had provided them with umbrellas so they would stay dry but the school still perceived it as a danger. We then had to explain to the school about how that incident was not a form of hazing but just a bad situation and that is where my part came in. I was the one to help explain to the school that the incident was not intended to be in the rain and force them to do something that they didn’t want to do but instead was a matter of bad conditions. We then had to make sure that the rest of the program had no ways to haze which I was also a part of in explaining.

Problem #2
The Second problem which I took part in solving was in the Fall of 2016. This was at about the end of the pledging process where the pledges had a showcase. This showcase was to demonstrate their teamwork in a creative way while showing the principles of our fraternity. This showcase however, did not show that and even disrespected some rituals which are sacred to us. After the showcase was over our Executive Committee which included myself had to formulate a plan in order to help them understand the principles, show their teamwork and respect the traditions of the fraternity. During the meeting I helped solve the issue by giving ideas for them to make it up and to help bring understanding to the situation.
Problem 3
The final issue which I helped solve was in the Spring of 2018. The issue that had arise which was that we had been held back in proceeding with our program due to not attending a mandatory meeting. My part in providing a solution was to provide ideas in order to make a successful chapter program to happen. Some dates needed to be moved and the first obstacle was our rush week. We had to rush in the middle of midterms which was a struggle for our members so I made sure when I had free time I would spend it helping recruit new members. After we had recruited new members I also had to make sure to provide enough service hours so that everyone would be able to complete their requirements. I had to contact coordinators to make sure that we would be confirmed at their service event and also make sure that our members went to the event. The constant communication was a very important part to make sure that everyone was able to reach their goals.
